Preparation (including cover glassing)

Slide Glass for rock thin-section 48x28mm 1,3mmthickness 100 Pcs 20 USD (in Japan, we can purchase from Amazon)
Epoxy Glue Bond E 90min harden type 10 USD (in Japan, we can purchase from Amazon)
Please use an alternative in your country (Usually epoxy type glue is best)

The above cover glassing can be skipped to use transparent manicure paint as an alternative.

準備するもの

スライドガラス（鉱物用）Amazonで入手
カバーガラス（鉱物用）上に同じ

接着剤：ボンドEセット，UVクラフトレジン液（さらさらタイプ），Amazonで入手
ほかに水や研磨剤を入れる容器など．
なお，結構面倒なカバーガラスの接着の代わりに，薄片の表面にマニキュアを塗って済ます方法もよく使われる．

Preheat by a cup heater 60-100 deg to get liquidity of epoxy glue.
カップヒーターでチップを熱する．エポキシ接着剤の流動性をよくするため．

Next, the tip is attached glue as follows,
Epoxy Gluing
2 tubes epoxy's are mixed completely!
Press center by a rod and drive bubbles out.
次は接着，エポキシ接着は動画をどうぞ，
2液をよく混ぜ合わせること．
中心を押さえて泡を追い出す．

Keep them for 2-days or more to be completely hardened.
2日以上，固まるまで放置する．

Some examples of glued tips from Shikoku Sekigawa region where we can be collecting many mafic and metamorphic rocks, especially schist including garnet and amphiboles. Here are the tips painted surface by epoxy glue to use as polished rock surface samples at the bottom left.
